The whole point of Skyrim’s special edition was to improve the 
game’s visuals, but just because Bethesda did it officially doesn’t mean
 folks aren’t out there trying to make things look even better.
As is the cast with most PC games (Skyrim especially, see above), some of the most effective ways have come from the use of ENB, a series of mods that mess with everything from lighting to shaders. 
Users in ENB’s forums are sharing screenshots they’ve taken using 
their custom configurations. They’re very nice (click the magnifying glass
 icon on each image to expand). It’s up to you to decide how much nicer they are than mods already out for the original Skyrim, though.

 Note that because ENB is about customising the mods to suit your own 
tastes, each of these screens uses slightly different settings. If you
